CATTLE REQUIREMENTS
Official ID: 840 tag, Registered Brand, Registration Papers.
Out of State Cattle: Must have Official ID and a health certificate unless going directly to slaughter.
EQUINE REQUIREMENTS
Official ID: Registered Brand, Microchip, Registration Papers.
Out of State Horses: Must have EID, Coggins, Official ID and a health Certificate.
SWINE, SHEEP & GOAT REQUIREMENTS
Swine Official ID: USDA Swine Tag, Ear notches with Registration Papers, Tattoo
Out of State Swine: Must have EID, Coggins, Official ID and a health Certificate.
Sheep/Goat Official ID: 840 Tag, Scrapies Tag, tattoo with Registration Papers. See attached document here.
Out of State Sheep/Goats: Must have Official ID, and a Health Certificate.
On January 9, 2013, USDA published a final rule (9 CFR, part 86) titled “Traceability for Livestock Moving Interstate.” The rule establishes requirements for the official identification of livestock and documentation for certain interstate movements of livestock.
